Renting a uhaul to move a travel trailer cross country

Great bonuses, on the job certification for forklift, hitch installations. Overseeing Storage auctions for delinquent customers. Absolutely loved my job, but was extremely overworked. Was this review helpful? Not a place to go for advancement or job security. Hired as a Store Manager Trainee. And don't ever ask for a raise. It immediately puts you on the chopping block. Also, the lazy employees take forever to get rid of, which only means the good ones get worked hard to make up for what the others don't do.

Management doesn't care, they just beat on the store managers, and expect them to dump on the working employees. The plusses are you get to stay in shape, moving all over the property every day, lifting trailer tongues, cleaning trucks, installing hitches, etc. Most fellow employees are easy to get along with, and stick together well. This job is very stressful. Its not a good place to work. When in training overload you with a lot of work in first two week of training and then throw you out there to answer calls.

You lost and they no where to be found. Was a fun place to work. Everybody helped everybody to and from work and at work. Good place to work at. This is a good job to work at. Its great that they offer a work from home shift but they don't offer full time to work at home agents. In addition there is no medical benefits offered for work at home agents. The job is very family oriented.

Pay could be a little better for this position as well but overall it is a good company to work for. Great side gig, don't plan on it to pay your bills. While your experience depends on region, management tends to be very supportive and positive. There is great disparity between what different employees accomplish, though, that seems to go unresolved.

Higher-ups Corporate, Marketing Company Presidents, etc. U-Haul was a good place to work and learn as far as bettering my skills. If I had to recommend some to work for U-Haul, I would let them know that if you're looking for somewhere to grow with flexible hours it's a good place to consider. They only care about numbers At the end of the day the company puts profit over safety. I have seen them send less than good trucks out with problems ranging from flat tires to holes in the truck and even engine and braking problems.

The workers try their best to fix problems but if it cost the company money over a certain amount they override the worker's efforts despite safety being said to be top priority.

Training is a joke and you are almost always overworked compared to the pay rate. With so many other issues I can't recommend working for this company. It was always a good time showing up to work in the morning, i made some good friends while i was working for the company and would really like to come back to work again.

I was a general manager and area field manager we were aggressive managers back in the day, we would start store to store competitions. I learned that I didn't like moving as much as my wife wanted to watching all the movers twice a year, good culture at uhaul installing hitches and wiring at first was hard but then came human will" one customer decide whey will not return equipment on time so it makes another family delayed not a customer service issue and of course its the business fault.

I learned at uhaul what superior customer service was. Clean and park all equipment. I liked parking the trucks and trailers. I also enjoyed cleaning out the equipment. I also got to fix tail lights that were out. I performed basic inspections on the trucks e.

Productive and fun place to work! Wont give you a chance. Overall a great place to get experience. It was a great learning experience but the work life balance was hard to maintain. Most of the training is hands on and learn as you go.

Must be self motivated for this job and have tough skin for some of the customers. Great part time job. Great customer service skills a must, great office with great people to work with, hardest part of the job was being swore at by customers.

Great Place to Work. I was a work from home agent for almost 2 years. The pay is decent and can be really well if you get good at your job. Management was good as well and very professional. There is a large amount of customer service and would definitely recommend to those who are okay with desk jobs.

The job has an even balance of fast paced and relaxation periods. The employees are knowledgeable and fun to work with. Only complaint is the lack of work hours.
